friday end of the painting week

Lots of paint going down, wet color everywhere. Emotions are high about new paintings, new feel. Looking for some new voice, may hit the road and go to the art museum to touch base with the masters.

Started new portrait today, looking at the faces of my kids as I paint them. A wonder to study them so close.

Headed to the studio, excited. Started laying color yesterday after a month of drawing, things coming to life. Was reading Van Gogh's letters last night before bed. Makes for some crazy/vivid dreams.
